For students & families

Are you working hard? Or heartily working?

There's a difference. And it starts with understanding what work you'd actually do with your whole heart — before you commit to a path built on someone else's idea of success.

Free for students. Always.

The honest problem

Nobody shows you what Tuesday actually feels like.

You're being asked to commit, at seventeen, to a direction that will shape thirty years of your life — and the information you've been given is the job title, a salary range, and what it looked like in a movie once. That isn't enough. It was never enough.

Vignette 01

A surgical resident on a Tuesday

5:45am pre-rounds. Four hours standing in the OR on a procedure she can't step out of. A patient who's nervous and needs her to be steady. The paperwork after — nobody warned her about the paperwork. The night before, she had a conversation with a friend who is making twice what she is and is home by 6pm. She is exhausted, and she would do tomorrow again.

Vignette 02

A master electrician on a Tuesday

7am, blueprint review. A fault in a commercial building nobody else has been able to figure out. Solo problem-solving for three hours; the answer is in panel C, breaker 14. Lunch with two apprentices who think he's been doing this forever. Done by five. No debt. Genuinely satisfied. Most people he knew at twenty-two thought he'd thrown his life away.

Vignette 03

A brand manager on a Tuesday

Three decks. Two meetings that could have been emails. A heated Slack thread about a comma. One good idea, late in the afternoon, that actually lands. The salary is real and so is the LinkedIn glow. Some weeks she loves it. Some weeks she wonders if she chose this — or just chose the shape of it.

You can't know which one of these you'd do heartily — until you've seen what they actually are.

What Heartily does

Three things, in order. No quizzes. No personality types.

01

You see what the work actually is.

Day-in-the-life content across every career. Not job descriptions. Not brochures. Real accounts of what a Tuesday looks like, from people doing the work — written by an editorial team that is honest about the hard parts.

02

You learn something about yourself.

Not a quiz. A conversation that develops over time. The more you explore, the clearer your own picture becomes — what genuinely energizes you, what kind of difficulty you find worth it, what you'd actually do heartily.

03

You see the honest path forward.

When something resonates, Heartily shows you what pursuing it actually involves — the full picture. Salary. Stress. Meaning. The decision points. Where it leads. Where it closes doors. No glossing.

"The question isn't what you want to be.
It's what you'd do heartily."

Heartily doesn't mean passion. It doesn't mean easy. It means the alignment between who you are and what you do — the part of you that shows up whole when the work is hard.

The work worth doing is often the most demanding. Heartily won't steer you toward whatever is easiest. It will help you find the work that's hard in a way you'd choose — and the path to actually do it.

A note for parents

If you're researching this for your teenager — a few things worth knowing.

Heartily is free for students. Always. The platform is paid for by schools and employers — never by the people exploring careers on it.

Most parents we talk to are not asking us to tell their child what to be. They are asking for a fair shake — for their kid to have honest information before they commit. That's what we built.

— the Heartily team

It always will be.

Schools and employers pay for the platform — never the students using it. That isn't a launch promotion. It's a structural commitment, written into how the business works. Access matters too much to gate.
